GloFAS at the Global Flood Partnership 2017 Annual Meeting

The Global Flood Partnership meeting took place on 27 - 29 June 2017 in Tuscaloosa (AL), USA, hosted by NOAA - Office of Water Prediction - National Water Center in collaboration with UCAR/COMET and the University of Alabama.

This year’s theme was “From hazards to impacts” and also GloFAS was presented during the Ignite talks and in the GFP marketplace. Feedback on improvements and new ideas for the further evolution of the system was collected from the meeting participants. In addition, various posters were presented that analysed the GloFAS performance in different river basins around the world. On specific analysis was done by CEMADEN which evaluated GloFAS performance in the Acre river basin. Find out more about this case study here.
